Had to change the steering rack for the mot so decided to give it a clean behind there whilst the old one was out.
Old pic of how it looked:
And removed:
And cleaned: the waxoil inside the holes and under the car is staying there. No way am I buftying the underside!!
Have only done what needed to be done behind the rack as I was knelt on the floor under the car as the front was suspended on long axle stands on the ramp. A bit awkward really. More will be done from the top when I get it back.

No cloths on the tops of the axle stands to stop damage to the paint on the rails
Maybe you can tell me seeing as its one thing ive never done and always wondered.....how do you find the exact middle of the rack when refitting? So as not to get more lock in one direction?
