rs shawn - cheers for that bud, i'll follow the link and see what i can find out.

safechav/timturbo

The chassis stamp is unreadable for sure but i do have the vin number on the plate. WF0BXXCABFR64209, if it had to go on a q plate i'd definatley run a mile

The underneath looked ok, seemed solid in all the usual weak spots. Its had the n/s sill repaired but i can't see any other welding. Better to get it up in the air on the ramp though, if this vin plate buisness is straight forward then i'll make a offer and take it from there. Check the underneath properly before any deals done.

If the floor number is gone then it probably will go on a Q mate, the VIN plate is easy to change......floor numbers aren't

tinturbo

I'm a sucker for ounishment

If it was'nt for the i.d issue, a solid series 1 for £1500 would'nt have been a bad buy but its a massive gamble with the engine not running too. My series 1's stripped for a full resto so it'll be a long time till thats back on the road bud. Just weighing up if it was worth getting involved with another, could be an easy repair and a cheap series 1 but on the other hand could be just hassle.
Still want to find out about the chassis stamp.
