Default 2 problems PLEASE HELP

my battery light is on all the time and dosnt start unless i either push start it or charge the battery.

second problem is my ERST is idleing at about 1800 rpm. Also the car refuses to go on boost. it will struggle a lot on boost. please help.

Sounds like your alternators fucked

Have you tryed turning the idle down??

What hoses you got if there the standard ones they may be collapsing under boost

I just changed the alternator and battery a month ago.

Also i changed my idle to 1000rpm. ive also got full samco boost and coolant hoses.

check the wires comining off the altenator to the starter motor ent rotten mines were and it wasnt chargeing the battery which lead to the same fault as yours

Mine was the same aswell ,think you can still get the loom from ford

As said check the wiring on the alternator. The thin blue wire is what you will be looking at. A certain member on here recently also proved the theory if you bolt the main charging cable to the BLOCK the light will stay on aswell (you know who you are )

As for the idling fault..............one that springs to mind, it may sound dumb..........have you even got an alternator belt on there! If the belt was to snap it would idle high seeing as there is no idle speed compensation, and would explain your alternator light also.

If the belt is all good, there will probably be a problem with your auxiliary air device

Boost problem could be a spark related problem plug gaps/leads or coil mine had the same sort of problem changed the above and it sorted it.
