Default 5th injector, extra fuel...

Hi
Anyone using the coldstart valve as an extra injector? Is it the best alternative for extra fuel or should I try to use some sort of efi injector?

Need to know this cos my engine doesnt get enough fuel when I'm running about 20psi boost pressure.

(hope anyone understands my swenglish )

cheers

You asked if it is the best way, the answer is 'No'.

In my opinion, you need a proper injector, like a Bosch 803 mounted properly in the cross-over pipe, controlled by something like an ERL device.

I used a Lamndagauge to find out that there wasnt enugh fuel on the higher register.

So the coldstart valve is out of question then?

Has anyone here constructed their own 5th-inj system? Anyone using extra injector at all....

cheers

we use what is called a microfueler down here with a hop switch and an efi injector

at a set boost , the adjustable hop pressure switch closes and triggers the microfueler which is pulse adjustable , so you can vary the fuel. the injector is teed into the fuel rail

contact Gotech SA , they should be able to help you
