You fucking prick. Modify the turbo housing to plow more air. Generate a mass air flow at the same psi as a normal turbo doesn't mean the same mass air flow - it means a higher mass air flow. It can handle and flow more air so that given in the same period of time (vs rpm) you can force more air into the engine. More airflow into the engine means more fuel into the engine. more air + fuel = more power.

You fucking cock. I guess you should now email EVERY SINGLE tuner, mechanic, engine builder, etc in the WORLD and tell them to stop selling hybrid turbo's as they are a rip off and don't increase power?

Okay hotshot you wanna explain why tuners (who DO actually know what the fuck it is they are talking about) offer stg 1, 2, 3, 4, blah blah hybrid and modified turbo's? Why? For what purpous?

To make more power you pencil dick - now fuck back off to the rock you crawled out from nuder and stop showing yourself up

And when your done, tell me how it is you managed 158mph in a car that revs out at 148mph and a speedo that will only show 140mph.... you can't COS YOU CHAT MORE SHIT THAN TEENAGER ON AN E TAB....

When I bought my rst 2 in germany, brand new,I got it off the clock on the autobahn and the needle went past 140mph to roughly where 150 would have been painted. It was totally standard and had only done 2000 miles. Before anyone says impossible I can tell you its true coz I did it.

Oh and I know the speedo isnt correct before its pointed out.Makes you wonder how fast I was going though?I got a snooper radar detector with gps speed reading now,its pretty accurate and now with 17"wheels the speedo is closer to true than with standard wheels.

never said modify the turbo housing, my stage two is exactly the same as standard, apart from the 360 degrees bearing, and the fact it will handle more boost 25psi. but if the housings are both the same size hows it suppose to create more power? stage 3 have bigger housings. ur just a cock mate.

Anyways. just pointing out that these bhp claims, are allways more than they actually are, manky thrush has pointed out that a filter, chip, excaust, 14 psi is 170 bhp. witch is bollocks. my rs had polished head, cam, chip, excaust, 18psi of boost, and rolling roaded at 165bhp. were as if that was at well lane it prob would have read 180bhp. I think nobles rollers are loads more accurate.

you can get 200+bhp from 10 psi depends on how good your engine is

Yes you can, but you need a much bigger cc engine and a turbo that can flow a much greater mass air flow (which would need to be a lot bigger and create a lot of lag)

Sorry mate I have spent a packet on my engine and topped out at 149.7mph at Brunters with virtually no revs left to play with. My car is proven at 248bhp developing 265lb of torque.

I calculated the maximun permissable speed on the stock S2 ratio's and 17" rims running 205-40-17 tyres is approximately 152mph.

158mph is just in a dream world unless you have some serious kit under the bonnet

All clocks inside the car dont match correctly with what MPH your doing...

you could be doing 140 but only be doing 130-135 around that area

Its not exact!

You'll find it less than that mate. As a rule of thumb take 10% off what the clock says and that'll be a lot closer to your real speed

To be fiar, it doesn't soley depend on the state of tune of the engine. Get yourself a 500bhp monster under the hood of your RST - you still ain't gonna have a higher top speed unless you modify the gearbox ratio's...

I have often wondered that, my Tom Tom always reads 3 mph under what my Stack says, and I know that my Stack is spot on. Tom Tom also reads roughly 7 mph under what my Mondeo speed says. I a;ways thought my Mondy speedo over-read.

right, well the box i am using is an IB5 box, but has S1 ratios i think,
it was definately around 135 on speedo cause my mate then went past me in his Cossie and he said he was doing around the 140 mark
according to his road angel,

its not about top speed,
but how quick you get there

my car produced 169.9 bhp, with a chip, mild steel exhaust, k&n, std i/c, 14psi, std cam, std turbo, with 138k on the clock, so 175 is about right IMO,

Mine goes off the clock, as in my avatar <<<, but i would say im doing more like 135 due to crap ford speedeos

Class I Love it

Ive seen speedo inacuracies on an S2 on standard gearing on 195/45/15s sitting on the 7k limiter.

The speedo needle pointing at (the equivilent of 6 o'clock) true speed on GPS 138mph.

175 looks achievable with just a -31 actuator, exhaust, filter, chip and more boost as i was running 153bhp with 10psi so 14psi sounds about right for a 175 output. Also i was running 203bhp last year and was struggling to go past 135mph and to be honest i didnt know audi 1.8 turbos were so fast as i raced a audi tt a little while ago and we were neck and neck at around 125mph but i think it was just a 1.8 tt roadster.
