Default oil pressure gauge

i have just got a auto gauge electrical oil pressure gauge and i was just wondering where you fit the sender on a escort rs turbo s2 thanks

The sender can be fitted in the middle of the sump plug but you need a special sump plug for this. I have the mechanical kind which fits on the back of the block via a t piece where the oil pressure switch fits.

You shouldn't really fit the pressure sender in the sump nut, if anything temperature can go there. Better for temperature is a proper boss welded into the sump, but of course that can't be done with the sump fitted.

Anyway, regarding pressure, best bet is to get a brass t-piece and fit it where the factory oil pressure switch is.

They are inexpensive and can be bought from places like Demon Tweeks.

How would an oil pressure sender work in the sump

Next to no pressure in there??!!

Sorry I'm thinking oil temp sender which sits in the sump plug.

Any ideas on what size T-piece that is needed for the pressure.

you get the t piece from burton power, only costs around £3 off the top of my head 1/8 comes to mind...?

I had to buy one on behalf of someone else in the summer as i was working on there car, luckily it was there money cos it was £8
