Default ecu fault??

when i turn the ignition on the amal valve clicks sometimes once other times it clicks like mad and wont start, the other fault with the car is some times it pulls well one min then it dont,is this an ecu fault? the boost stays 18psi .when you turn ignition off it backfires sometimes.

When you say it clicks like mad and wont start, does the engine actually turn over?

yes it turns over ok ,theres a good spark also.if you unplug the amal valve it stops clicking so its def the valve. the ecu controls the valve i think

I had the same clicking on my amal valve. I disconnected it and now run a lockable bleed valve instead.

Cheers

I had a problem like this the other week, the amal valve would click like mad, but after it failed to fire up (had both fuel and very weak spark). It was the ecu that was duff, fitted another and everything's been fine since.
