Waste of time mate i wouldnt even bother especially if you have a category 1 alarm.

Can't tell you too much without knowing what wire is for what on the timer anyway, without it your guess is as good as mine!

Here's the diagram for mine: could be the same..but better to get it checked by proper auto-electrician imo.

They'll also know which wire is which on the iginition.

Well iirc the thin black one is very long?? Well that is handbrake one. Then the red, green, blue as above in the diagram. Mine was cheap one from halfords, the auto timer works on the current from the ignition. Works pretty well. I will take picture of where wires go if it helps.

If you've got a cat 1 alrm make sure you wire before the alarm on the ignition, otherwise the alarm will only activate valet mode

I don't think you need to evenif you could tbh..unless you rag your car all the way to your doorstep. Mine's a stand-alone unit and by the time I've parked, switched ignition off (so turbo timer kicks in), taken out stereo, got my mobile, bag and jacket and anything else I need, fitted disc-lock and then got out of the car and shut the doors it has normally counted down and killed the ignition. Then you simply press the key-fob yourself on the alarm to set it. Job done.

Ive never heard of such terminology as wiring before the ignition, hence my reason for asking above.

As far as turbo timers go if you wire one in, if you have a category 1 alarm you wont be able to fully arm your car until its turned off, hence why turbo timers are a waste of space (and yes i do have a turbo timer )

The same way as everyone else, and yes i have to wait for the car to knock off before i can arm my alarm.

They are very useless believe me.

Have your alarm set up to be a turbo timer, that way you won't have to wait and if you do it yourself it will also be free

I just connected my handbrake one to the feed from the handbrake itself near the front right speaker. Theres enough wire there to do it and i didnt have to take any interior trim out. Yes i am bout to take pics now wen it stops raining.

The ignition colours you want are:

Permenant 12v = Red
Auxiliary Wire = Yellow
Switched Ignition Feed = Black/Yellow
Starter Solenoid Wire = Black/Blue
