Rs Turbo S2 weight
Whats the weight of a standard S2 car?
and whats the weight of the engine.
Just working out the weight for towing a s2 minus engine.
Was going to use a 306 1.9TD, The braked towing weight according to the book is 1200KG, The trailer weights around 500KG's.

A tonne give or take as a complete car...
Hear either 1080kg or 980kg quoted a lot but don't hold me to either

Incase anyone else stumbles accross this while searching, the cab is approx 910kg, the hatchback approx 850kg.
According to Ford's own brochure from 1989.

I could have sworn it was around 1080kg. Thats the number that seems to be stuck in my head anyway.

Correct they are, the brochure shows 945KG for an XR3i which obviously is lighter than a RS!

And my car is fitted with all "luxuries", sunroof electric windows etc. All original sound deadening included. I know that 930kg sounds light but scale told that.
