Default Piston help

Got two knackered pistons with cracked skirts and need to replace them on a standard bore block

I've been offered Escort pistons. Are Escort RS turbo pistons the same as Fiesta Turbo?

Indeed the pistons are the same.

Are you sure there is no damage to the bore though.....

id be asking why they have cracked in the first place
had same with mine couple of weeks back, sever det cuased the ring lands to crack,no sign of melt, bores were fine, was due to the std breather not being upto the job and filled my intercooler with oil

The bore is perfectly fine. Had it checked as I was going to get it honed. The engineering firm have just said that I should deglaze the block. I bought the engine as a non runner for £40 so I'm not to bothered why. It is merely something to play with to stick im my XR2 for a bit a track fun.

The big end was knackered so whether that added to the issue I'm not sure.
