Hello all, i'm not really new to the forum just don't often post

My Name is steve and i have owned my RS for just over a month, problem i've got is if i don't use it every day she's a bloody pain to start. When i first got the car i did use it every day now the weather's turning i only use it at the weekends, i went to start her yestarday and she just won't have none off it.

It's a brand new battery (replaced it after it ran out trying to start)

It will start eventually but i have to just to hold her starting, if that makes any sense just keep on turning her over. After reading previous posts i have checked the flap on the metering head and it is flapping as it should. However there was smoke coming from these wire's where i think the casing has melt after a long period of contiued starting. What wires are these and were do i get new ones?

well my question is what is the problem with the car, if i don't drive it everyday she won't start.....poxy thing if i drive it leave it over night start her again the next day she starts fine, any thing longer than a day and it takes my 15 mins of continued starting to get her to fire up.
i can't think what it can be....

Any help appricated

Cheers

Steve

mate can u get a close up of those wires please as it looks like its pointing to the brakes lines

once the car has started does it idle ok?

can you smell petrol when you turn the car over?

does the car have enough power to turn the engine ok?

next time before you start it, take the plugs out and see if they are wet and smell of petrol

is your cold start valve working properly?

just a few things to check
