I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to bottle it. Car will not be together in time. I need a slimline fan by tomorrow if I was gonna make it, but I just cannot see it happening. Only had the escort a month, and I'm already pissed off by it!

yes car was a bit down on boost but made 333bhp i still need to get hold of my graph, proper rollers which show a cars true hp no chance of suffering from wheel spin. christian i think you'll have a few unhappy people most rolling roads over read.

333bhp??

I agree about the over-reading bit though, which is why I would have liked to have mine ready!

can't make it bud soz the missus wants a day out and ecided on that one sorry but hopefully will find out what mine will do on sat but can't find much wrong with it, slight play in rack joint on n/s fitted it got the tracking right in the middle of where it should be just got to get the steering wheel straight by adjusting it on the rack, still does it i don't know what else to try gonna try swapping round tyres, undoing the pinch bolts on the tca arms and do erm up on a 4 poster ramp, check all the rear suspension aswell and if it still does it will have to wait til next year and go to sca for full geometry check alignment etc it's being a right pain now

I'm hanging in there, but perhaps it would be better to plan this for early next year (once the shite weather is out of the way), would make for a better day I'm sure.

However, if I have enough people want to do this and get the payments in time, then I will still go ahead. That said, I didn't receive any cheques this morning, so it still stands at 4 people!! Not wanting to sound snobbish, but I wouldn't get out of bed on a Sunday for that, by the time you account for what it costs to lay a day on like this!! LOL.

At least it will give me chance to fit the GRS and get set up properly if it is rescheduled to next year...

I dont fancy getting out of bed either if its just a handfull of cars running

Hi Christian,

I'm not really a well known member on here but saw Chicken (MK) post on the xrtwo.com site about this. I'd be really interested if early new year as mines being set up as we speak so planned on visiting a RR anyways -would be much nicer with a group of friendlys. I'm also not that far away - where abouts in Norfolk are you based, i'd be travelling from St.Neots Cambridgshire.

Thats if another XR2T can come

Regards
JAMES

Right kids. I received one cheque in the latter part of this week, thanks MM Racing, but sadly this isn't enough.

I'm afraid that this day will not go ahead next weekend, we have to make commitment to put a day like this on and we cannot do that for half-a-dozen people. Perhaps, on reflection, it is the wrong time of year.

So, I will reschedule this for early spring. Would be nice to catch it when the snow has gone, but before the blistering heat (if we ever get it!!).

I will make the effort to make sure this is a great day and try and talk Performance Ford into coming along. I will most probably start another thread to save confusion and depending on the level of interest, may make the day half RST's and half 2wd Cossie's or something. I would still like to keep it to FWD Ford's if possible, so we will try that first.

What do you all think??

Think it would be a excellent idea for around march/april time

When it gets a bit nearer to spring i'll see if i can get a few of the FRS boys to come and run, theres a few bigger bhp FRS's out there and the FRS boys seem up for a good day out

Right chaps, what shall I do with the cheques that I have? There are a few options.....

1. Shred them (you'll have to trust me on that!!)

2. Keep them and bank them closer to when we reschudule to (Cheques can be banked for 6 months after the date on them)

3. Bank them now and just keep the money as early paid/confirmed entries.

What d'ya reckon??

Sorry to hear it's not going ahead

I'm definitely interested in bringing mine down early next year, though it's not one of the bigger power cars
dependant on what your doing with the chq's you already have, could send one this week.. if only to gee me up into getting grey finished!

Would still like to see a day full of different RST's .. and Andy's Focus of course

Sounds good, i'd be up for one new year - would be nice if theres was enough interest to have aload of RST's on the day but i'm not bothered if I few cossie's want to join the fun. I think PF would be more interested in a mad RST RR battle on the day though

Happy to send money in new year once date picked, oh i've paid off the new engine :blub:

You can keep mine for the rescheduled date Christian, but might be worth not banking it, in case i cant make the new date...
Or bank it now and then refund me if i cant make it?

BTW, i do fully intend to be there!

Let me know what youre doing...

First, loads of you go on about the cost...for fuck sake it was forty quid! Then come the 'oh I've just realised it's my dogs second cousins Annual ritual child abuse satanic horse buggering Jamboree, I couldn't possibly miss that' excuses.
Not too sure about inviting 'Tragically young bald bloke' Monthly either, wasn't one of their number a 'no money sent' on this occaision?
Just go's to show how many dreamers out there I supose.....

Cash the dough Christian I'll be there next time.
Suggest whatever we do though, we keep this thread going, that way we can see how many of the no doubt legion of 'clever' respondee's to this fail to turn up next time as well!
