hi looking at the car today and who ever had it before put a bleed valve in it.but it only has two pipes going to it should it be 3 it has the fitting on it for a third pipe if so does the third pipe go to the fuel meter as it has a pipe coming off it which has been cut and blocked where i think the amal valve was?????

thats where the bleed air goes from the amal valve, if you still have one? if not if your bleed valve has 3 ports, the lower port for air bleeding will feed to this or you can let it bleed to atmosphere and leave the metering unit pipe blocked off.

doesnt need to go to metering unit as said, its just how ford did it, bit pointless hence its blocked
