Default turbo

hi iam new to here i have a erst my question is what rpm should the turbo kick in mine does at 4000 is this normal had afew fords but never a turbo any help would be great

If I had a tenner for everyone that had asked this question, I would be rich!!!

My 300+bhp RST has full boost (30psi) by 4000rpm on a large turbo. If yours still has a standard turbo, I would expect full boost by 3000rpm or thereabouts.

I would suggest a poorly adjusted or weak actuator. Get it checked by a pro!!

I am doing a house up and have a mortgage that would scare most of you guys, so the car isn't an open-cheque-book project like some. It isn't funded by the company either, it's all out of my (very shallow) pocket.

Mind you, if I charged £4 quid to send bits of rubber tube that weigh about 60 grams through the post I might be able to afford 'scary' mortgages too ahem!

WTF?? Are you stalking me?

Since the post office is about 5 miles from me, I think £4 to supply a brand new jiffy bag and send the item first-class recorded is quite reasonable. Not that I have to explain myself to you.
