I just did a little search and u could find urslef coming unstuck, they respond very well to tuning and sub 15seconds 1/4 miles aren't that dificult to acheive.
thats asuming it is a 1litre- 1.3litre transplants are common and running 1/1.5 bar can see 13/14 sec 1/4 mile.
whats the spec of ur cab?

racing on a highway especailly organised will get you in big shit mate.
take it steady.
as for the charade, quick cars as standard, but if yours is modded you should be ok. also iirc they have got a low top speed like 110mph or sommit.

stage 3 head, t3,piper cam,k+n, radtec intercooler, hearts an diamonds chip, i also need a rollin road to set it up, im guessin190-200bhp, i reckon the cherade will deffo hav mods as he is a kroozer like me, i will also take great care when i hav this 1 off race, an it wont happen unless the carrige way is totally dead with no traffic an the road is dry not wet
i no streetracing is a crime but this is just a 1 off cheers

If he's a cruiser he's almost certainly chav'd it up with a hideous and poorly functioning exhaust so I wouldn't worry too much
A well modded one is bastard quick though, Hell a stock one is damn nippy for what it is

when i 1st brought my ERST i had some bloke bet me £50 2 race him, and he had one of these. my car was totally standard and i was told not to bother by a friend. i reckon yours should do it tho with that spec. let us all know the end result.

I curently own a GTti and have owned a few in the past. There aren't many about now (117 to be exact) and most of them are tuned by idiots.
Almost all of the owners who have decent cars would not have offered such a stupid thing as to race on a public road, so you should be ok.
240bhp and 600kilos is achievable though.
More if you want to put in the development work

I've only ever been in two crashes in a charade. 1 a guy in an MR2 sideswiped me. COst me a new wing and headlight, no structural damage.
The other was in a track car that rolled about 8 times before finally ending on its roof.
I'm still here to talk about it, but it wasn't exactly a standard car.
I guess the best plan is, dont crash.
