why do these always end up getting disconnected on rs turbos??

if I remember right when I connected mine up again a few years ago it didn't want to start or idle! surely there is something wrong as they are designed to run with them?

 

They are jsut classic for flooding the engine when you try and start, this is a generalisation for any car with Bosch K/KE Jetronic, almost every car ive seen with it (Ford or not) has it unplugged.

The cold start injector only works while cranking though so once started it shouldnt make it idle funny?
