changing my fuel pump on my S1

got the 2 pos and neg leads off, and got the banjo off, clamped the small hose which leads to the banjo.

but my pump is spewing out petrol.

is the small hose at the front off the pump supposed to be clamped also??

or should i expect the pump to leak fuel out??

fuel pressure realesed and battery undone.

help apprieciated.

ahh fook, i think ive clamped the wrong hose. the long slim one i think is the outlet right??
and the small 5 cm or so on (thick one) is the inlet pipe yes??

Alright mate.

Right, im a bit confused, but basically, the rubber hose from the tank is the inlet to the pump, and the thin hard plastic hose is the outlet. They will both spill petrol, but the rubber one could spill shitloads depending on how full the tank is
