Wot BHP is your RS supposed to be? Also you don't know wot mods the 106 may have had!
It doesn't take nuch to knock an RSTs power right down - 5mm the wrong way on the dizzy will drematically alter performance - best to get it checked on the rollers if you can though.

trust me 106 gti are fast, i raced on on a127 was doing 100 and she was up my arse i had to hit full boost then i left her. but that was on a standard engine wiv a chip different story now

oh youve filled me with confidence there cant wait for my new engine to melt lmao, sounds good stevo so what sort of power is everyone pulling.
oh thanks for the advice about dodgy actuators people i read up on adjusting em today, so i screwed the pole as short as i could get it and ive went from 11 psi boost to 17 psi bosst lmao turbos rule suppose this also means mine turbo without a shadow of a doubt is chipped thanks a lot people

Mine, at the moment running at 7psi with a fooked actuator is running 140.1bhp at the flywheel, should be close to 200bhp at the fly with a decent actuator holding 14psi.
Spec of mine is basically standard:
Standard 1800 Zetec bottom end
Standard 1600 CVH head
Standard cam
Standard Series 2 water cooled turbo
Scorpion 3" System with 4" backbox
K&N panel filter
Champion Cossie race plugs
Shagged -31 actuator
Chip of unknown make
Bleed valve

jamie im expecting 200 bhp..
i know its possible and the car has always boosted well and its fuelling fine.
I just need a top turner to sort my timing so i get the most peak performance from my cam.
Oh im running a standard i/c so i need a bigger one but not grs

GRS is a make of a intercooler, It is Graham off here, he makes them himself its his own business and he is s**t hot!!! Hisd large intercoolers are very good and very succesfull. I would recommend them.
Go here: http://www.grsmotorsport.co.uk/ Or give Graham a call on 01935 479014. He is a very friendly helpfull chap and will answer all ur questions

Thanks adam, ill only take that complement once my casr hit the 200 mark
GRS coolers are very good but they cover the whole rad so if in traffic your car can over heat, i no of one zvh lump wiv a grs that did.
If you get twin fans im sure you wont have a problem

As steve said, there are a few good and bad factors to it, but they can all be sorted, as steve said twin fans, and also on a switch for being stuck in traffic moments etc.
Best give Graham a call

thats some spec mate how good is that large s1 intercooler bargain price too shall have to ring em. pace units that size are going for 600 odd for the s2. yeah shall have to rig a switch up like. my car sits at 3 quarters up the gauge in traffic with the fan on so god knows what it will be like when tuned
