any body got a spare fuel tank they want to sell?///???
getting the car fixed for the mot and noticed a puddle of fuel under the car,
so check the pipes, there all good.... crap theres a big split in the tank.
my prob is that ive alrady spent money fixin it and i really wanna keep it on the road, but this is seriously making me think of braking it.
so as a last resort im turning to u lovely people
so, has any body got a fuel tank for sale?????????

Not got one, but sure you can get brand new ones for Ł50, i'd get a new one tbh!! Makesure it's deffo the correct tank for your car! needs a fuel pot thingy inside to hold the fuel so when you turn a corner the pump doesnt go dry, sure someone will explain better.

tbh im not bothered about it being new, it would out last the car lol,
just need a tank so i can get it through the mot and decide what im doin with it?
its cracked on the drivers side mounting bracket, is this where they all go

Usually go where the fuel pipe to pump comes off the tank, usually wears and seeps petrol.
Not sure where from, but if you but 2nd hand makesure it has no rust inside!!

If you're on a tight budget remove the tank and LEAVE IT for a good couple of weeks to dry out and weld the crack up.
New tanks are on eBay regularly, about Ł60 plus postage IIRC. Second hand tanks are getting hard to find now
