the easy way:

1. take off front bumper
2. remove the radiator

now you have access to do the job

leave the manifold on and just remove the turbo, one of the nuts can be a bit tricky but should be no problem!

the only reason to take the bumper off and radiator off is if you have a full front intercooler and you had to move the rad when you fitted the cooler!

only took me 2 1/2 hours to change my turbo

it should be removed with the manifold, - take the studs out of the head and remove rocker cover for better access. I always take the pipes off while in engine bay to prevent damage. I do recommend taking the rad out and doing it that way - it's easier to see what ur doing, and can be sure nothing is catching etc. My t34 has to come out through the front.

I take the starter motor off and drop the turbo still attached to the manifold down. I find it far easier than bringing it up to the top.
