The Exhaust housing part. The part that covers the exhaust turbine type thingie. You can see the cracks on my .48 housing. Hmmm could this be the reason for so much lag?

OMG that crack is massive compared to mine

Mine was laggy as fuck and as i said i even had the screw completely removed from the bleed valve and it still wont hold more than 6psi.

Definately a contributing factor

Daft thing its was boost at 15psi but took ages to get there. Can't imagine how fast the turbo must of been going to be able to spool up. Just aswell its got a 360 degree bearing in n all hope not much damage has been done. No smoke or play on the shaft so think I've got away with it.

It will still be spinning at the same speed, but its taking longer to get there because the wastegate is leaking so its not as effecient as it should be. Its amazing the difference though, even though its cracked its not like you can see through the crack, just a hairline crack but it makes all the difference.

Anyone else that can help with this. Looked into getting this one repaired at my work but it would need specialist equipment to do it as it would crack again if not done right.

hi mate, i have several of these so i will let you have one for the grand total of 20 quid, plus your postage if you want it? pm me let me know mate.

that may just be a hairline crack but we all know what happens to metal when it gets to 400 degrees, .....
and now the crack is the size of a house!
