Brembo vs anyother?
Thinking about what brake to go for on the S1.
Now on my old car I already have a set of brembo and if I get get a hang of doin this photo bucket I'll show you the brakes in all their glory.
But do I let them go with the car and do something different? I used Brembo last time because they were up to the job but I think the question I'm driving at is what are the best brakes on a s1?

330mm Sitting behind 19's so that why they look smallish.
Great brakes tho.
Had a word and can get the bells made up for the S1 but do I?
Got lots of plans for the S1. Gonna take some more toys off of the old car and put them Escort.

No mate they wasn't on a series 1, as this is a ford site wont tell you what they were on haha. But I know they can make the bells up as I have already had a word.
The only thing I'm thinking is the space behind the 17's I have on my S1.
I've currently got the 17" polished 7 spokes and the x factor behind the rim is gonna be tight to the brake.
The brembo is a fair sized Caliper.

hello i'm new...niceties finished
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT, change the rear drums for discs, rs's are not made for this and unless u spend a mint on a brake balancing thingy you'll smash the car up the first time you stamp on them.
s1 and 2 tubs are renowned for the arse ending overtaking the front when running discs on the back.
I'm running some serious bhp on my series 1 and i've stuck to good old drums on the back and cossie grooved discs on the front with green stuff pads. trust me she stops just fine.

Drums better on rear than disc's...I'd better let Ferrari know!
You could of course fit disc's and adjust your apportioning valves correctly/just a thought...

How would I go about this and what discs would I use for the back. Is it a common thing to change the S1 rear drums to Discs?
