Default RST wonky seats.....

You most probably all know (well those that have seen my car anyway) that my seats are on the p*ss. The passenger one is worse than the drivers one, but they both need attention.

Has anyone got any RST subframes that are in minty mint condition?

I have considered taking them out and trying to sort them, but not sure if its worth it. I am trying to resist buying aftermarket seats!!

Shame really as my Recaro's are in excellent condition, it's just the frames that have dropped on one side.

You sure its not your engine causing the problem here?

I reckon your engine is producing too much torque and its twisting the chassis and causing your seats to get bent

Or maybeeeeeeee not

Ive got the same problem with my RS1600i seats, got a mint drivers side seat but the frame has broken and collapsed

Guess the only way to sort them is to strip the seat and reweld the frame

my s1 had the same problem the backs of the subframes crack and split, if you remove the seat split the top from the bottom then the bottoms are pretty easy to strip down, theirs not much to it at all then just straighten the frames up weld them bit of paint to finish and thats it put it back together and jobs done, it took me bout 1 hour to do the drivers seat, when its back together you carnt see the welds either
