I have a big turbo motor in my escort... is there some kind of retrofit kit that lets me get rid of the distributor? Id love to have coil on plug and simplify my life.

Also on www.zzomotorsport.co.uk you will find bling bits to replace dizzy itself to make things nice and tidy.
Funny that somebody who is 2000 miles from UK, and never seen those parts writes all that
