tappet noise
as above i have just changed my cams and followers on my small turbo escort cosworth for some piper fast road cams but the followqers are tapping like fu~# so i have stripped it all down again to see if i can see anything wrong but it all looks ok i have also spun the engine over with the rocker cover off to see how much oil there was up at the top end which looks to be fine i dont know if mayby it could be a dodgy set of followers praps has anyone else had any problems like this?

no they wernt genuine so i bought a genuine set from woodford and put them in and the problem was still there so i ran it whilst listening to the rocker cover with a stephoscope and found that the noise was coming from number 1 inlet side so i have changed the imnlet cam for the standard one and this has now cured the problem so it seems that the inlet cam must have had a fault
