I thought when the clutch ratched fooked up it ment you had no clutch at all

I think it sound like the clutch from your description,

When it hits boost does the rev needle go up but the speedo stay the same? thats what the van at work does.

Yeah but i think it might of been hot, i had a row with the missus when i dropped her off.............So sidestepped the clutch right outside her mum n dad's gaff!!

All about the karma i guess.................

Well i took her out today, and its still doing it..........Oh the joy!

Haven't got round to pulling that cable yet though Damo, so going to give that a try in the week.

In the mean time whats the damage to stick a new clutch in? Approx??

clutch plate ALCON 6 paddle Ł180
gen ford clutch cover Ł120 Approx
Remove and refit box, Ł250??
New cable Ł15-20 ish

Do you really need to change the clutch cover though? on my FRST i had that skimmed?!?!

Oh well i know what i'm doing with my bonus this year then

I would... skimming will be 30-40 anyway wont it??

Ideally you need the flywheel refaced too, as that will be burnt to Łcuk...

If you have never taken the box out before and dont have a ramp or full compliment of tools... yes,

Ive had the box out of mine 3 or 4 times... doesnt get any easier

pull the cable out the bulkhead though first incase it isnt mating properly..

Is that all? Ive been quoted Ł800-Ł900 for a new clutch to be fitted into my S3, cash deal. That's with a standard clutch? I should've bought an Es Cos afterall
