This may seem blindingly obvious to some of you, but i have not owned a cosworth for long and am new to this, but what is the main difference between a -31 and a -34 actuator?

the -34 has a stiffer spring inside for very high boost applications. but the -31 will do most of the time.

Does the same hold true for a -47 ? Used in higher boost applications?

Full Garret part number is 430099-47, and GGR use this as part of their 375BHP conversion kit for an Escort cossie, along with "400" light blue injectors. I have this conversion fitted in my Escort. They also sell -22 and -64 actuators.
