Monte/Commemorative Esc Cos list 78/201

I've spoke to the new owner of '000' (L820 KPU) and I have a few doubts on it now.. not in a bad way and not to discredit the car at all, as its a very important car on its own.
L820 KPU isn't numbered 000 and has a normal cosworth badge in the banana pod, it doesn't have a Monte steering wheel, chrome hand brake button and I'm not even 110% sure its even Jewel Violet as it looks more like magenta, unless the only pics I have seen have been darker?
I had always been led to believe no. 000 was numbered 000 as so many people has seen it at a show next to the other prototype yellow Esc Cos which was RWD with a N/A V6 cos engine. Whether its the same car or not I don't know as despite searching for the yellow RWD and no.000 pics that Ford bought out for a RS show once I still can't find out any more info.
Personally I think L820 KPU had a multi purpose for Ford as what you can't see is it has a mk5a front end! yes a smilie face grill in the bonnet! and the oval side winkers. So I think it was a concept/prototype for the commemorative/Monte models/Small turbo/mk5a
What ever it was for, its the only one like it! and that makes it special in its own right. I'm just glad Ford didn't keep that smilie grill as its hidious

Paul when I was a bit younger there was an RS centre in Southampton, when the monte's were first out I saw a jewel violet monte without the larger rear wing coming out of Hendy's, I was sat behind it for a while and it's one of the reasons I wanted an Escos-not sure but it could have been the one above no. 000 ???, I can't remember the reg but it deffo didn't have a big rear wing

Nice one guys added both (we already had 200)
As far a sunroofs go I've never seen a Monte without but there are quite a few non-sunroof LHD's out there so it wouldn't surpise me everything else adds up

Been to see my friends No: 000 Monte and it certainly is different to say the very least it defo Jewel Violet, has air-con and is fitted with 803's green so at a guess is stage 3 setup has oval indicator, had morette twin headlamp conversion and has a MK5 smilie faced bonnet with the proper oem cut-outs for the vents, no rear fin.
The car should be on the road very shortly as he is replacing many parts with FORD OEM items to get it returning to it original condition

Ok guys thanks to some superb new information I can now confirm to everyone that the car we thought was Monte no.000 was not in fact.
This is Monte 000
It has the Motorsport 000 plaque and is full Monte spec other then it has Motorsport decals in place of the Monte decals on the doors and tailgate. As far as the new sorce of information is aware 000 is still owned by Ford
Solves a big mystery as to why L820 KPU never had the 000 plaque and why the spec was slightly different. It is now my theory that L820 KPU alone with its brother L819 KPU where Ford Dunton concept/project cars cars as potential face lift models that would be constant with the mk5a type facelift at the time
L819 KPU
L820 KPU
Now whether L820 KPU was considered as part of the 200 commemorative is the next mystery I will try to solve but I personally doubt it, I was always told there where a few Jewel violets that where not Monte's so possibly L820 KPU is one of the few extras?
The new sorce of information also says there where 73 RHD's and 5 YBP engined Monte's. There is potentially even more detailed information on its way on the Montes and I will let you know more as and when I do
Makes me also think now that including 000 there are actually 201
