Fitting Powerflex Bushes???
Over christmas I am going to fit a full set of powerflex bushes, konis and ahmed springs. What problems can I expect?
Also - thanks in advance to Mike R for the supplying the springs & bushes.

they are not too bad, the back ones are the nightmare, not the bushes so much as what has to come off to get the bushes off,
tip or the front... raise the front of the car ni tyeh air and allow the anti roll bar to come loose as u will never bent it back to reloacte the arms with one wheel on teh ground.
the back... u wil more than likely find that the rear beam mount bolts captive nuts all turn and u have to angle grinder the head off the bolt, then fit a new bolt through frmo above with a tab welded on top to stop it spinning round as there is no room for a spanner (unlessu cut open the section to get a spanner on then weld it back up afterwards, but IMOP that is only weakening the structure.
its a full days work really, ive done it once myself on my saph and i said never again, i quite happily paid 250 quid for a garage to fit them all on my escos . its worth doing though as part of a learning curve and getting to know what bits there are and how it all comes to bits etc

no, ther is another way that simon at woodford suggested to me a few years back which involved leaving the arm on the car, droppin ghtem down and using a bush wind out tool after getting the outer of the arms hot with the gas, troulbe is finding one the right size and having an air gun aswell

Ratchet straps are the things lorry drivers use to strap stuff to trailer VERY strong, but if it slips while you are under car, they could in theory have yer arm off...
