the "centre vent dash bit" is the same as any mk 5 esc (well nearly) ....the up/down direction arrows for heater are opposite way round... and the std item has a coin tray... when you get a clock, just cut the back off the coin tray and slot it in.. job done

i used a cone cutter ( a hole saw would do just aswell ) to open the area up to about 1" across which enclosed the original hole and imobilser slot, then fitted a textured grommet like this into the hole, looks almost factory...
these from R do the trick nicey, obviously u would needto measure exactly the correct size..
i have used these to fill old LED holes and imobilser holes etc in the rest of teh dashboard, they fit nicely and are the same colour

Take this pic as an example
The radio and slot below is black
the gaitor is black
the gearstick/knob is black
the windo switch is black
the leather is a slightly different shade to console,
the console itself is a VERY VERY dark blue, when I have mixed the colour I used dark blue with a dash of black to bring it down even further, IIRC I also used a dash of Dark green...
Look at the ashtray, difeerent manufacturing process, different material different shade of BLUE

Spot the difference OK different light conditions (you can see that from the carpet colour LOL) different angle...
IF anything I may have added a little too much black Though obviously in the car it doesn't notice BTW I DID NOT spray the whole console, just the repair
