Have been told this is the best grade to use - its what I have just put in my car anyway
Motul oil 15W/50 is also VG!

10/60 is castrol RS... personally wouldnt use that in my engine. Its an 'alternative' to mobil 1 m/s
remember, oil choice is like a football team to some people, some swear by castrol, others hate it.
ive always been a mobil 1 ms person, but am willing to try some silkolene pro
no chq yet pal

Dave - should have the cheque soon, I posted it on monday evening.
Back to oil - The guy I bought the car off was using Motul 300V 15w30
went to price this up and it was about Ł10 more than the mobile 1 motorsport 15w50 - Dave you know I am a tight bastard so I went for the mobil.
Question is - any advantages in using the Motul???????

I would not use 10w30 Damo- like you said badgers piss would be better!
I work in the Ford bridgend engine plant and we stick 5w30 in the 1.25/1.4/1.6 - crap really!

No not Castrol RS
Use a decent synthetic 10w-50 or 15w-50.
With winter approaching 10w-50 would be better.
Silkolene PRO S 10w-50 is good
and popular here
Cheers

The 0w-40 might be but the 15w-50 isn't.
With winter coming on a 10w-50 is preferable to a 15w-50.
Cheers
