Default Escos fuel problem?

Hello,

Escos has been sat for ages, went to get it running today,

did basic oil checks etc,
Put fresh fuel in (20L)
Fresh battery on

Went to start, turned ignition on, fuel light comes on? plus the needle on fuel gauge seems to actually go down a lill bit more when ignition is turned on???

pretty sure fuel pump isn't priming when key turned

i put direct feed to fuel pump and it makes a constant noise, so tried to start it this way,,, but still nothing??

checked spark as i assumed i was getting fuel, plenty spark.

i pulled pipes off of fuel rail and put direct feed to fuel pump but still nothing came through??

i would automatically think fuel pumps fucked but it does seem to kick in when live feed fed to it,maybe just making noise? but also seems fairly likely that the fuel gauge issue is connected??

pretty confused and only really used to working with rs turbos so fairly out of depth!!

cheers

Hi if you are applying direct 12v feed to pump and not getting any fuel you can defo rule out anything to do with fuel gauge , pump u/s just check fuel filter first before you remove tank
