Default help needed!!!

fitted a set of gaz coilovers at the weekend, but now i have a loud knocking noise coming from the offside rear of the car when i go over moderatley bumpy roads, its not the coilover unit catching, there seems to be a bit of play in the swing arm bush, could this be the problem, and if so, are the bushes of the press in type??

i know your suppose bash the inner rear arch out 2 allow full movement, didnt you have too do that, as 4 the bushes cut em out and push in new 1s there in 2 pieces and go in from either side.

yep as above - you cant just fit coilovers with no arch mods as there is not enough room up the std strut turret to allow for the spring without opening it up and reinforcing the top.

ive opened up the area behind the coilovers when i fitted them, but it sounds like the noise is coming from underneath, so ive ordered new bushes, il see if that helps..

They do other than the inner rear arch on nearside. It's so close, it rubs on ALL escorts when putting the larger diameter springs.
It's easy enough to do though, with minimal damage.
Use a sponge hammer. It'll take longer, but be safer
