Angry Big Runningproblem Escos T25 Help!!

Hai Cossielovers,

I've got a big problem with my Escos Small Turbo T25,and thought i had found the answer
on a forum here at PassionFord,but searched and searched many times,and can not find it
anymore,so i'll hope someone can remember where it is,or help me otherwise.

Here is my problem:When i put my throttle just before the overboostpoint and the boost
goose till 0.9 bar and rev it to about 5000 rpm then the revcounter drops dead to zero!!
and the engine will cutout,but i wound let it,because i will keep oilpressure for the hot
turbo.

I'v tried it with throttle fully depressed (overboost) in 3the gear,till over 5000rpm,and
had no cutout of the rev or engine,and tried it several times with a Ford mechanic
beside me(how had an Cossie himself) and he thought it could be a saveguard in the ECU?

I have an "ANTI" ECU,and i know there are different ECU's like COSY,etc.
What are the differences between them,no rev limit ,no boostlimit??

I hope someone can help me,

Thanks,

Fran,

There is not anything in the code that would cause the engine to shut down. Have you checked for error codes?

The difference between COSY ecu and ANTI ecu is the ANTI ecu has fixed a bug in the original coding. The CARD ecu fixes the same problem and also changes only a few bytes in these tables;

'Wastegate Desired Load Table'
'Wastegate Transient Load Multiplier'
'Wastegate Integral Clip for TP'

and adjusts these parameters;

'Wastegate Integral Gain'
'Wastegate Proportional Gain'

Hey Guys, Thanks for your quick answers,sorry that i did not answer any sooner,been
bussy.
I will take it to the Ford ,and check it for some error codes,perhaps that will shead some
light on it.

Maybe,when i'm not getting anywhere with the or no codes,i will contact Stu.
Oh bay the way,i'm going to buy a chip and actuator for my standard small turbo from Stu,
anyone know what performance figures Torque and Power to expect??

Any help will be great,thanks.

Finally,i've found some codes from the EECIV,measured with a digital memory scoop.
this is it:3_3___1___1_2_6___2_1_4
Does someone know how to read this,i could not find 33 in the 2 digit list,or does
someone have the errorcode list for the escos eeciv?

thanks,

Fran,

Thanks Sailorbob,but what is CID OR CMP?
Could this mean my ECU is bust??

Thanks,

CID = Cylinder Identification sensor
CMP = Camshaft Position sensor

On the ST you only have the CMP sensor which is fitted where the distributor is on the BT.

The errors could relate to the sensor, wiring or ecu.
