is a coswrth 4x4 amal valve the same as a escort turbo?

 

I need to know this too as i dont have a boost control valve on my car at all Would be nice to fit the correct boost control valve.

 

As far as I know yes. I bought one from an RST, or at least thats how it was listed on Ebay, and it worked fine on my Sapph.

 

It is the same device, but has different jets in the nozzles. Should do the job, but you'd be better having the jets set correctly.

Escort Cosworths have a completely different one though.

Nope, coz im after one too. As far as I can tell from reading on here it seems the the small and big turbo valves are the same. And its actually called a Lektron valve. The Saph and Escort are completely different, Saph is amal Escos is Lektron.

It operates at a higher frequency than the Amal valve too, and only has two ports instead of three.
