Talking knocking noise any ideas

finally took escort out of its hibernation for a wee blast round the block only to discover its making a knocking noise from the front drivers side footwell ,gets worse when go left .. cant keep going round roundabouts all day ...seems to feel as though there is something banging on floor behind pedals..had a quick look underneath but nothing seems to be loose or hanging down... any ideas please..

thanks

Sounds like the OS outer CV joint. Turning left loads that joint so you get the noise.

Could also be the outer TCA bush.

alright mate , ive had similar problem after fitting new mongoose , caught a speed bump and it moved exhaust slightly , it was hitting the knuckle joint on front propshaft , had to loosen exhaust bolts on turbo to re align exhaust .

best regards
