Default Escos heated front windscreen??

Hi guys, going to try and bin the heater box out of my track build, can you fit a heated front screen to an escos? did they come std or did any of the mk5 escorts come with them??

Any info much appreciated.

Luxes came with a heated front screen. I think all Mk5/6 Escort heated screens are the same so should go straight in...

Mine has a heated screen, but no switch for it anywhere though

As said above Dan, some did come with heated screens.

i looked into getting rid of my heater box aswell, then Martoon went and weighed one, even with the matrix section full with water it only came to 4kilo's
- is a slight bit of warmth and the fact that it actually drys out moisture etc really worth sacrificing for that little bit in weight?

get what your saying but I really can't be arsed with the heaterbox and pipework as my dash no longer has vents or an area for the controls. I might try and get a tiny heater/blower from work that go in the tiny diggers we build....that'll be enough to keep me warm, and even then it's a good weather car anyhow so should only need the heater on the way to nurburgring (sp) or similar overnight drives.
