As Euan says the fuelling would definitely need checking and adjusting, however it would be okay for the drive home etc, providing it was driven sensibly.
Who makes the Mongoose and can you get spares for it my center box has been damaged on a speed bump.
Dave.
Any of the popular suppliers (including me ) can get you one of these. You would just need to advise the age of the system to enable sourcing of the correct part, as Mongoose is a trade name and they switched the manufacturers over a few years ago, so you need to know who to approach for a replacement part .
Im running Martins old R&D box Mike so straight cut but not short ratio.
He had a escort on the other week with one of Harveys 450 engines it made 360atw with a normal box.

I think Alan said it was 360 @5k and up to around 380 @6k but only running 1.5 bar then it started to go lean. Plan is to rev to 8000rpm and run atleast 2 bar if the exhaust does not restrict.
Stan is having a Fixit (which has just arrived), so once he has it all built into his casing and run up on the dyno, you will get an idea of power losses that this achieves .
Is Stans the other white one that ava look after with the trick suspension, the one i was on about above Mike runs my old semi straight cut box now and dont think there was much difference from when it last ran with a standard box.
