Mike i know during testing Euans magnex became restrictive around 410atw on his 2wd what do you think that would be on a 4wd car around 390/400 ?

Just another quick question, If changing from Mongoose to Hayward & Scott. Would the car need remapping afterwards?? or would it be safe to run on original mapp

Neils AVA idea of restrictive and most other peoples seems to be very different.

I cant post exact back pressure results on here but PM me and ill let you know

All I know is that back pressure is your enemy on turbo charged engines and I have none in my exhaust and very little in my manifold

As Euan says the fuelling would definitely need checking and adjusting, however it would be okay for the drive home etc, providing it was driven sensibly.

You would have to ask Alan what the different figures are on his rollers for equal power .

Any of the popular suppliers (including me ) can get you one of these. You would just need to advise the age of the system to enable sourcing of the correct part, as Mongoose is a trade name and they switched the manufacturers over a few years ago, so you need to know who to approach for a replacement part .

In Alans opinion my losses are very similar to the high powered 4x4 cars he has had on due to the fact they all run short R+D boxes.

What does Neil run?

Has Alan never had a high powered car on the rollers with a normal box?

We'll soon find out what the losses are on "Stan's" car .

He had a escort on the other week with one of Harveys 450 engines it made 360atw with a normal box.

I think Alan said it was 360 @5k and up to around 380 @6k but only running 1.5 bar then it started to go lean. Plan is to rev to 8000rpm and run atleast 2 bar if the exhaust does not restrict.

Neils is going to piss over 400 ATW

Seems to be reacting well to boost too! might be the big valve head?

Stan is having a Fixit (which has just arrived), so once he has it all built into his casing and run up on the dyno, you will get an idea of power losses that this achieves .
