I used to use one, but i find it better to just disconnect the battery if its
not going to be used for a while.

Only a two sec job.

I have the one that comes with my carcoon, I have had it for years, I use it all the time and have never had an issue with it.
It can be bought seperately too

I'll just disconnect the battery with this switch (I have it in black)

It's quite easy, never have to re-charge the battery (even if I don't use the car for about 4 month's

Just getting in from work, Cheers guys for the replys, cheers Mike, i had a look on Halfords web and the site is poo with only 2 listed, well thats all i could see anyway. will pop down and see what they have got in store. looked on the net and there don't seem bad priced anyway to be honest and the one i looked at and liked had really good write ups, it was a CTEK MULTI XS3600. I know that disconnecting the battery is two sec job, but to be honest i want it stood with the alarm ect on for peace of mind and just a bit more secure. Cheers Mark.

Think its richbrook or someone does a battery connection that you can disconnect but it has a small loop wire to run ya clock and alarm. But i prefer to use a trickle charger, as mike says halfords 1 works fine.

I had tried a few various trickle chargers and most of them didnt work very good, cant remember which ones they were now, but i bought one from hamilton classics, think i paid about 30 quid for it, had it for 3 years now and goes on the car all winter never had a prob with it

Glad this has been posted as it something iv been meaning to ask for a while. My alarm starts going off after 2 weeks of not using the car due to low battery.

Can i over charge the battery with a trickle charger or is it ok to leave on constantly over winter??
