Thanks for that m8 Do you have an old version of Microcat as 2 people have said they should be about £90.
RADMAN is this the switch part the actual sender unit?

The gauge still kind of works, but when i turn on ignition the gauge shoots right to the top and stays there.

Check your connections first, as iirc gauge shooting to the top means its not connected.

Its down on the block near the oil filter.

Is that the only thing not working?

Cheers Kev. will check that it is connected and fuse 27..

but i put it in to groves as thought at first it was the wiring Mark done to irradicate the multiplugs and they were all shitty.

but wiring was fine and said it was the sender unit at fault.

It was, which Mark said it must be the wiring when i noticed it as soon as i picked it up, he said just bring back and we';ll sort it... But after taking it back, they said the sender was up the wall.

Hi mate, i had similar problems but instead of actually having the eyelet secured by the two tiny nuts i soldered a connection onto the terminals and put spade connectors on. Its now working better than ever

i have a similar problem after i had my car converted to autronic the std oil pressure guage in the pod shoots over max when on ign and driving ...

i was told to check all the wiring which we did and all is where it should be even tried swappign the wires over and it lit the oil light so wires were fine the way they were before ... which then means could be the sensor, BUT it worked fine before the conversion so why should it play up now??
i now have defi's just need to fit the sensor wire up somewhere now and i'll take a reading from that

but i guess one more new part wont hurt...
