AFAIK, all escort cosies had push on knobs for us with the mt75 box, apart from maybe the monte's which had ally ones,

My Escos did have originally screw-on one. I even have it. Now I have Monte original one from dealership.

yes dave, my 94 one had a screw on one which took me ages to get off as i was trying to pull i then realised it just unscrewed,lol,dont know when they changed over as my monte has a "push on" type gear stick, although it obviously had the monte type allen key knob and its a 94 as well

on ford microcat they only list one gear lever and two knobs (one being commemorative which i presume means the monte alloy one, as its 50 odd quid and and the outer type is a fiver!)

Original Monte one I got new from Ford for crazy money after 2 years (and I do not drive it so much) look like it was 20 years old. A friend who doesn't know much about Cossies saw it and asked me why I didn't replace that shit old gear knob.
