The EscCos bumper weights a ton! the WRC is just a fibreglass/kelvar/carbon jobbie so would weigh probably a 5th of the weight

Paul Ripley thats what ile be getting then

Kelv do you think so Kelv only 2 star bolts and the side clips and shes off

Rolls if you could take a few snap shots of the back so i can see how they fit that as well as having a little weigh that would be great

Cheers Guys

Not hard, but don't use the 'height adjustment bolts' to remove it. (they are located through two holes in the bumper - in the recess under the number plate) As they snap off very easily!!!!!

Directly behind those holes - under the bumper, there are 4 17mm bolts. You have to REMOVE the ones nearest the BACK of the car and slacken the front ones.

Then remove your fogs and indicators, then undo the two plastic retainers a 1/4 turn each and pop em out. The bumper will then pull off. Only thing left is the headlamp washer pipe, but you can leave that on as its quite long!!

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I missed anything!!

Yeah, they do - although you only need to losen the front ones - they locate on a recess, so you can get away with losening them, and sliding the bumper off

im not overly kean but the weight of my current F/B is to much like i stated

With the way the front bumper is put together i just cant see how you could put it on a diet keeping it looking how it is

Any ideas?

i dont give a flying fook what the purists think of my car, mine is not being built to sit looking nice at shows - but to be used at every oportunity on track.

each to there own i know but i wouldnt change to another shade of green, ive seen it done a couple of times before and it spoils the car - i think you could put that money to alot better use if you were really intent on spending it on your car!

My car is also built for the track and to be honest I like the sound of what you are having done to your car i was just trying to get you in my shoes so you can see what im saying

Next winter im stripping the car down to a bare shell, im then having a full monster cage put in it and the sunroof, roof skin swapped for a solid one

Bonnet, tailgate, front wings, front bumper are all going to be Carbon/Kevlar and the rest of the car is going to be acid dipped and then dipped in a vat of Grey paint " i see an article in one of the ford mags on it cant remember what one"

so the car is going to need a full respray anyway and as my car is for the track too i wanted to go for something different from the Norm

Jewel violet was one option and i also like the Dark aubergine but then i think to my self why not sell what i had and get one in the colour in the first place i also like the Works cars and other paint/sticker kits I.E. martins Repsol is the Bollocks IMO but i don’t want to be a copycat ect

If i thought i could get this colour green then i would but i don’t think i could get it as deep as this Any painters care to comment?

Lowman Do you have a full picture of you Car in good light that you can post up so i can get someone to Photoshop the green i want onto it so we can all see what it is going to look like?
