I've got the original Ford audio system :

- Original Ford Radio FD2007RDS radio/cassette
- Original Ford 2050 10-CD changer, with controlunit in the dashboard (under the radio)
- Original Ford 4 channel amplifier 4x30w
- Front speakers JBL GTI speakers (to save the original ones)
- Rear speakers original Ford
- In the trunk:
RockfordFosgate 120.2 amplifier
Rockfordfosgate 12"HE subwoofer

But, most of the times I'll drive with the windows down, and the radio off (to hear the engine)

I have been without a stereo for the past 6 weeks due to the standard amp unit packing up, but hasnt bothered me one bit... I still smile when im chattering all the way down the road...

but id say just a good set of components front and rear.

I have fitted 6 1/2 inches in the front with the adapter plates and 6x9's in the rear shelves with a little modification, but due to fit 5x7's.

@kelv: Dont worry. Im not to happy about it myself. But im gonna make it diffrent during the winter. Im hiding away the dvd player inside the dash and im moving the screen up where the head unit is now. Im also need space for a link display for my new engine management. So everything is changing. And its gonna be flocked.

Paul, its very tidy little set up and sounds awsome, but just not realy my thing!, not sure about the parcel shelf, got the standard one with the car also! the part where the amps are mounted on does not weigh alot, but the double sub box is very heavy!.

I have a very mild one, but the problem I had was with the parcel shelf. I have an acoustic shelf with a set of 7 x 10 kenwoods and a 8" sub and the weight of it caused the plastic bits on either said of the car (The small lip that the shelf sits on) cracked and I had to replace both sides. Just be wary of the weight of the shelf or you will have the same problems that i had. Sorry dont have pictures as car still in storage

Should have said - all i've got in mine is a decent Pioneer head unit, and uprated speakers in the standard places, using autoleads brackets - sounds perfectly fine to me

Oh yeah, I have a kenwood head unit with a motorised monitor.. you have to put them in the lower slot on the center console as the monitor hits the top lip as it comes out. I find it gets a little in the way of the gear stick
