Default RSOC escort cos registrar nominations

well I'm a bit fooked off, I posted a while ago about this, and most people said John Taylor was going for it and and was the best man for the job, John himself said on here that he was going for it .
I decided on the back of this to back him at the agm, Today I find out that the nominations have been announced and he hasn't put in for it. leaving phil saunders a free run for another year..

found the post

he has applied for the post of re man spares, so at least we might get some stone deflectors, centre console's turbo heatshields, etc etc...

I'm suprised John hasnt gone for it to, although its about time something was done regarding; splitters, heatshields etc

I've never had a problem with Phil Saunders, was always on the end of the phone when i've rung him, had a good chat etc....

i thought there was new rsoc ruling in place that states the registrar must own the type of vehicle he is registrar for? does this still apply?

no m8, but they do have to own an RS of some kind, if they don't then they would only be an associate member and thus not allowed to hold a committee position, not sure if this applies to registrars or not tho

i'm not into politics tbh but something needs to be done about the splitter situations and the rear spoiler seals, even maybe front bumpers some people are trying to cash in big time... its about time the chosen people made sure we are able to get hold of the parts we need and are highly saught after ...

surley if enough memers vote to "oust" him, then a late application for a nominee can be put in? I wouldn't mind a go at the job, but I don't know a huge amount , but Youth, were you not thinking of doing this job?

If we could get an interested registra to work closely with JT in the remanufacturing department we could be onto a winner. We need team work not finger pointing

I suppose if enough people vote NO to Phil Saunders then they will be forced to accept other nominations??

Gatecrasher, not sure exactly what the remit is re registrar other than to be there to help escos owners out re spares & info and probably arrange a few get togethers etc, if you went for the job then i suppose its up to you how much, or little you do.
