did ford alter these then? as mine is different to this one,mine doesnt have the moulded ridges/steps, never seen any heatproofing either unless this isnt a gen cossie one?

Just noticed its automotive unlimited so im sure they know what there looking at. Maybe they changed them at some point then? Recall maybe?
