Cant wait till tomorrow (2/8/07 im home...)
Hi all 2morrow is the day.... I become a proud owner of my dream machine an escort cossie, we land in leeds bradford airport and then its a rental car up to mr north yorks to view and collect my esccos.
cant wait i feel like i did when i was young on xmas eve (if anyone can understand that) been 15 years now since i fell in love with the escort and i suppose all good things come to those who wait
wish me luck peeps that all goes well and i get it back home safely..

know how you feal mate !
i have wanted an escos since they first came out . after going through the saph cossie's i bought a polaris grey one 4 months ago at the age of 29
i'm living my dream !
just can't stop looking at it .
people say they aren't as good as the jap stuff . i agree they are different to drive .
but i think owning an escos is all about it's heritage not how good it is out of the box . that can always be changed as we all know
good luck mate . the grin on yer face will last weeks

Hi mate, i remember the drive home in mine from Birmingham, it was such a grin, steady away all the way back by myself but was the best journey i've ever drove. can just remember sitting driving and keep looking at the interior and everything and thinking well you finally got what you always wanted. Hope you enjoy it as much as i do mate. Mark

Hi fella, well mate, i can really remember what that feeling is like, as for me it was only last week.
I hope that she lives up to all you have wished for, i know for me it met and exceeded all my expectations and wish you all the best.
Have a safe journey and take care

I remember the drive home in mine about 100ish miles away from my house as I got closer and closer to home the launches got harder and harder ended up doing 6k sidestep launches to get the fucker moving was not impressed - my 2wd saff got off the line quicker
It was a stage3 conv I would have hated it std, then cooked the brakes doing laps of the industrial est near my house then in the garage and taken apart and converted to 2wd
Good luck with yours

I just bought mine about 6 weeks ago. I couldnt get the time off work to view it so i sent my girlfriend and her uncle on a plane up to edinburgh. All night i was texting to find out where she was it took her 7 hours to get back to watford and i was standing in the street at 4am and all i could hear was the sound of the exhaust a mile off wondering which way it was gonna appear from. Very exciting but had to go straight to bed.

Hi all, im home safe and sound, what a day what a day..... started off at 4am got to dublin airport my 2 mates hit the bar at 7am... boarded the plane at 9.30 and was in leeds for 10.30am then as we walked through customs we where pulled 45 mins we where kept for asking any kind of questions you can think off.. i thought the worst... this copper wants to put on his rubber glove... (good luck to him i laughed as i had a curry da nite before ) but it didnt get to that stage thank god.. they done checks on us asked why we over i said to buy an escort and this real old copper said "is it a cossie??" ha ha so to cut a long story short they let us on our way.
next stop was avis car rental got a new fiesta (had to be a blue oval) so climbed into that and next stop pickering..(so i thought) all was going well till just before old malton then caravans everywhere and total gridlock took 2 hours nearly to get to pickering.. What is the story with all the caravans in england any time off the year i go to north yorks all thats on the road is caravans !!!! but we arrived and there she was in all her glory.. we where greeted by paul and adam so after a quick hello and a joke bout customs we viewed the car, the owners wife was there and she didnt say much as she didnt want him to sell the car but with a young family needs must, viewing showed nothing was wrong with the car and paul took me for a test drive so off down the road like s**t off a shovel... my good can it shift.. came up behind a white van man and had to slow down ( lucky as we went round the corner there was pc plod parked in a layby in his volvo... but he just stared but didnt follow back to pauls place and deal was done, then it was coffee time and cosworth talk and i have to say as usual paul made us feel so welcome and how he described the car is how it is, no crap or bull, and the very biggest shout of thanks to him as always, and adam for the coffee.. so road trip begun the whole way to leeds i was smilling from here to ear car behaved very well with no probs (allthough a paddle clutch is not town or city friendly) so after dumping the fiesta back it was straight down to liverpool again no probs and when we arrived at the hotel the owner came out to see what all the fuss was about (as when i booked the hotel secure parking was top of the list) so inside we went then down to the bar, it was a family ran hotel and after a quick chat it turned out that he himself was married to an irish woman and fair play to ian from 9pm till 3 am we only bought 3 rounds of drinks.. (what better way to end the day than with free booze) not to many hotels i know of would treat you as well... then dis morning we headed for docks then the long drive home from dublin.. and not 1 problem did i have with the car and i have to say people it was worth the 15 year wait.. i love it its everything i expected it would be and more and comming from a stage 1 saff to a stage 3 escort its plenty quick enough for me, im gonna spend the weekend now cleaning it and putting on my shinny bits etc etc... so to round up... is it my dream come true YES WITHOUT QUESTION life just got a hell of a lot better now im living my dream..
ill post up pics after i give it a good buff and polish and hope this little story didnt bore ye all just wanted to share my days experiences
