Default Best way to modify spring platform on Konis

For extra clearance when fitting bigger/wider wheels
any pics please guys, can they be cut (like an RS500 battery tray)

I am doing mine this weekend and welcome your suggestions

i had some that ggr had done once and they just used an angle grinder to cut off the lower part at 45 degree angle then welded a flat piece of steel on to fill the hole, it depends on how much modding is reqd

Mine are old style by the looks of it even though they are only a few years old -I need to fit my 235 tyres on and may need to get medieval on their asses

just chamfer them with an angle grinder like the pic above I did exactly the same with mine 225-40R18s on Rondells

I used a 5mm spacer Mat. let me know if you need some as i've a spare pair

Mine are 235's and they are Toyo R888's so they have a very square side wall and are that bit wider than 225's I think I might have to cut off quite a bit
to get them to clear with space

like dave says it may be a lot quicker to just use some small spacers
