Default Stg2 v Stg3.

My escos according to previous owner is set up with a Castle perform Stg2 chip. Was told that is bout 340brake. I don,t really think that to be accurate. Would you change this for a Stg3 set up? The car pulls like a train goes well, would i notice enough of an improvement to shell out the thick end of £350.-400?

Didnt know there was a stage 2 But then stage 3 is around 340bhp right?

What do you mean the thick end of £400???

stage 2 is the same as stage 3, just different tuners call it by stage 2/3.

i do believe stage 2 is stage 3 minus some boost etc etc

any how, 330 is usually ball park figure for stage 3 so 340 is probably correct,

where as NMS gunship stage 3 might see around 380 BHP
by running the green injectors on the limit

MAD RST, I put that figure up as i spoke to Stu @ M,S Developments £150. for the chip, £140 for a set up, and as i,m in sheep shaggin land the cost of fuel, up to him and back! Thats if i don,t stay up there on the piss!

If the car is a stg 2 can i run a closed loop on it?... Anybody know?

back in the day "Chipped to F#*k" was a term used to indicate
your RS or whatever was souped up abit.
if there is no proof its been to Newcastle under Lyme for a bit of
souping ie bill or recipt, i would take it lightly.
the differance between a standard one and 280 hp is bigger than
280 ish to 320 ish, some people can't tell what 340 0r 350 feels like,
or they confuse a 270 ish car with a 350 ish one
it could also need just a good tune up which may get it feeling
souped up again.
i have had RS'S which when tuned fell like a differant car
