well i said id never bother going to fords again but i needed a new throttle cable, nice simple thing so i thought id give them one more chance,this is the conversation- can i have a new cable please, whats your reg no? i dont know,ive changed it twice for personal ones, we need your number or we cant order it,ill give you the chassis no instead,so i told them that,none in stock [theres a surprise!] ill pop in tomorrow to pick it up, went back next day, its on back order-will be another week, went back after a week, still not in, i said any idea when it will be here? no, its on back order, so i cancelled it, ordered one of ggr yesterday and it arrived this morning i deffo shall not bother with fords again they should only employ enthusiasts to work the parts dept,not people who cant give a shit

I MUST SAY I ALSO GET THAT PROBLEM HERE IN OZ. WITH THERE ONLY BIENG ABOUT HALF A DOZEN ESCORT COSWORTHS IN WA. I JUST GO TO SUPPLIERS IN THE UK I DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH FORD UK AT LEAST THE SPECIALISTS HAVE AN INTEREST IN THIS TYPE OF CAR. THERE IS A SUPPLIER OVER EAST WHO DEALS IN COSWORTHS BUT I WILL NOT GET ANYTHING FROM HIM EITHER HIS PRICES ARE JUST TOO HIGH. I MEAN $165 FOR A DISTRIBUTOR CAP THATS ABOUT 63 POUNDS. STANDARD ESCOS AIR FILTER $65 ABOUT 26 POUNDS. A BIT STEEP I THINK, I WOULD RATHER WAIT A WHILE AND GET IT FROM THE UK. SO FAR I HAVE DELT WITH GGR AND MATT LEWIS BOTH OF WHICH WERE VERY GOOD TO DEAL WITH.

hoolleys in nottingham were awesome in the old days of the mk1/2 as where most around country------ive still got the list in the back of the rally parts cat-but alas not around anymore-them lads who run them (also managment ) had an insight!!!!!-no computers then!!!!!!! .
just went in for blah-blah blah- out the back and back with the goods in minutes from slippers to bushes and the use of a till/cash-ha-ha remember them days>>>>>>>>>>woodford garage is good-/recommended-

I am actually looking for a new set of original dampers...
FORD here in Denmark are EXACTLY as dumb and careless and wants 385 GBP for a set (2 front, 2 rear)

How much are they in the UK ? ... I think that 385 is a bit pricey!!!
Can you get a standard set elsewhere or is FORD the only place ?
