what colour aRE yours? mine have silver backs on them but i also have an "old" new pr from yrs ago that are normal colour on the back,[orig ford] ive been offered a very good price for these as they are apparently very rare for the concourse boys,as you can only get the silver ones now,anyone else heard of this? cue everbody rushing out to the garage,lol

Mat, the plastic part behind the light and its clear casing. Originally they are that cream colour but got changed to silver

While on the sidelight subject, is it just me or are these shit? Just bought a new pair from Ford, washed the car 3 times and there's water in them

original lamp, note the colour difference,apparently very sought after by the concourse folk,before you all rush out to the garage you can barely see them when fitted although i suppose a good concourse judge might just spot one it would be interesting to see who still has the orig ones,as i must have got through at least 4-5 sets in the last 10 yrs as they soon go green/mildewy along the top edge and are very fragile

my ford dealer is stating
Part nr 6188828 having 2 sub titles (coswort-) and (coswort)
same -----29 . if you order cosworth you get white if order - cosworth you get silver --- but same price ... so its what your dealer stock or supply

think you will find cosworth- means non cosworth and they will be the bigger s/lamps as fitted to normal mk5 escorts

my mate has a mk2 escort and the edges of the rear lamps
were going green and manky,he put them in the dishwasher
and then t-cut the lenses and tbh they came up minty mint
now i always atleast get the t-cut on me plastic lenses and
gently rub

Coswort (cosworth)and (in Norway ) Sport (- cosworth) is using same . New orders - ford delivers "silver" - opprated they state better than the "white" standar . Not prone too yellowing - cracking ...
